Here's how you do it: Below the comment space there is a selecting box with comment as: beside it. If you click the blue down button, you can acsess different things. click the selection that says Name/URL. Type in your name but no URL. press continue and post the comment. I figured this out when I was doing the wave TV online course.
Kia ora Jesse. Fab voki. I love your learning goal for this course. I can already see that you are working hard to keeping up to date with completing all the set learning tasks. I'm looking forward to seeing what you choose to do for your PLJ. Keep up the great work!
It's nice that you were able to record using your own voice Jesse. I don't think you will have too much trouble with completing work in the time given. You seem very organised to me! Well done so far.
Thanks for the comment on my invisible voki.(Well,it's not there anyway.)Yours is great too, especially the final statement! I 100% agree - owls are the top priority in my world.
What is a voki? A voki is a digital animated creature on the Room13 blog, called Olympic Online Learning, that Caroline set up.
A voki has different features and different characters to choose from like people, animals and other crazy things that can be your voki. You can change the eye colour and the skin etc. The choices are endless when it comes to choosing the characters clothes and other features. You can make anything you like within the choices there are, but it has to be sensible and appropriate. You can record your voice saying your goal for the course and a little bit about your self or you can type up your words then use the voice choices there are. What ever you say will stay on there forever. In Room13 you are allowed to make two vokis but everyone must have have finished their first one first.
First to make a voki you will go into the Olympic introduction. Secondly go into make a voki. You can choose your character and background and it will turn up on the screen. You can also choose their eye, lip and skin colour. Now you can choose to record or type what you want it to say but it has to be under one minute otherwise it will not record or say what you wanted to say. First to type you need to go into go into the letter 't' button and type, then you choose your voice then press 'done'. To record your voice you click on the record button and once a little box comes up press 'allow' then you can start recording, once that's done you press 'done'. After that click edit and a little box will come up, now press 'no thanks' or press 'x' button in the top right corner. This time go into the blogger (open a new tab), find your name and in the bottom left corner press 'edit'. Now this time in the box press 'Apple v' or 'control v' to paste your voki code, now click 'publish, go onto your blog and there's your voki.
Now that you have finished your voki you can put a nice comment on other peoples' blog pages and you might get a nice comment back.
This is a great explanation Jesse. You have had a good go at explaining something very complicated and technical. It's the sort of thing it would be easy to show in a video tutorial or a how-to video. Hmmm- now there's a good idea!
Hi Jesse, I really like your Glogster poster on Archery. I especially like how you have used a mixture of drawings and photos to add interest. I also love the animated arrow. That is cool. A couple of your sentences have been chopped out of your boxes though, so I couldn't read all of your work which was a shame. I think you did a great job. Jacqui (Canterbury University)

ReplyDeleteI should add that this is the first informative Archery presentation I have ever seen, now I know how this hoot of a sport evolved.
