Room 13's Research Plans

This wallwisher shows the research plans students in Room 13 have made. They have planned who, what and where they will gain their information from as well as identifying key search terms. They know to use at least 3 sources of information to make sure their information is accurate and to add to the information they have gathered. Please leave a comment below to let the class know what you think!

Personal Learning Journey Questions

This wallwisher shows the questions formed by Room 13 for their personal learning journeys. They will explore these questions using a range of sources and present their findings later in the term. In the final week of term there will be a syndicate sharing afternoon to showcase the PLJs. Please leave a comment below to let the class know what you think!

Room 13 Olympics Online Goals

Teacher-speak. Students will:
Demonstrate the ability to use a digital tool to make a presentation.
Identify and use appropriate online behaviours.
Predict and describe the features of an effective presentation & compare that to later findings.
Compare & contrast digital tools to select one that suits the learning job.
Research, write and design a presentation.
Share PLJs with the class, school and community.
Evaluate progress through the course for: completing tasks (use the tracking sheet below to do this), quality work, communication, self-directed learning, problem solving.
Kid-speak. We will:
Learn to use digital tools for a presentation.
Be safe and use appropriate behaviours. If you're not sure of something online  tell an adult. Stay on task and don't get distracted. Work out what is appropriate online and don't do the opposite.
Think about how our presentations will impress people.
Have some possible tools and pick one that will help you do what you need to.
Research information on your topic, write it in your own words and then design your digital presentation neatly so you're ready to go online and show it to the world.
Share your PLJs confidently and proudly to a big group of people.
Focus and concentrate. Work hard and try your best. Finish in the time limit. Self assess as you go through the course. Work hard and fast.
